Corbett Wild Holidays is an independent private safari consultancy, resort booking facilitator, and licensed tour operator. We are not the official website of the Corbett Tiger Reserve or the Uttarakhand Forest Department. All official safari permits and canter tickets are processed through statutory government systems.
1. Safari Permits and Government Regulations
- Official core safari permits (Bijrani, Dhikala, Jhirna, Dhela, Durga Devi) are issued subject to vehicle quotas regulated by the Uttarakhand Forest Department.
- Permits are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable once booked. No substitution of passenger names or identity proofs is permitted at the forest gates.
- Every guest must carry the exact original government photo identity card (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) furnished during booking. Failure to present the original ID at the checkpost will result in permit forfeiture by forest officials.
- Foreign travelers must furnish valid Passport and Indian Visa details.
2. Elephant Safari Regulations
- Elephant safaris are conducted solely within designated buffer zones (Sitabani Reserve) and eco-tourism corridors. Joy rides are not organized inside the core national park.
- Availability of elephant rides is strictly subject to animal welfare conditions, weather, and seasonal forest department circulars.
- A maximum of 4 guests are permitted per elephant howdah. Guests must comply with Mahout safety instructions at all times.
3. Park Rules & Wildlife Code of Conduct
- Alighting from the safari Gypsy inside core forest zones is strictly prohibited by law.
- Consumption of alcohol, smoking, playing music, shouting, or carrying firearms/firecrackers is strictly prohibited.
- Feeding, teasing, or disturbing wild animals is a criminal offence punishable under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
- Drone photography is strictly banned inside and around the Corbett Tiger Reserve perimeter.
4. Resort Stays and Tariffs
- Standard resort check-in is 1:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM unless otherwise confirmed.
- Tariffs displayed on this website are indicative and subject to seasonal revision during peak festivals (Diwali, Christmas, New Year).
- Guests must abide by partner resort rules regarding quiet hours and pool timings.
5. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances
The Forest Department reserves the sovereign right to alter shift timings, divert safari routes, or close specific zones without prior notice due to torrential rains, flash floods, road blockages, wildlife emergencies, or VIP movements. Corbett Wild Holidays is not liable for compensation or refunds resulting from statutory forest closures.
